The ABUS FOS550A window rod lock is a high-security additional lock with two sturdy security points: top and bottom. It has an alarm that reacts loudly in the event of an attempted break-in. The locking system gives FOS550A an extremely high resistance to lever attacks. Thanks to its narrow design, it can be used universally, i.e. on the handle side of windows and window doors made of aluminum, wood or plastic, including most double-sash windows, with and without a central bar. The lock is operated by means of a lockable window handle: When the window is closed, the locking bars are extended.
