To ensure that only authorized persons with the appropriate key have access to a cylinder of the UDM system, CES has implemented innovative security measures. One of these measures is a continuous guide groove along the cylinder core, which prevents breakage and ensures efficient torque transmission. There are up to three profile control pins in the cylinder core in a further safety level, which check the lateral coding in the key profile.

Each side of the cylinder has 5 spring-loaded pin tumblers, which are arranged in a staggered arrangement and act vertically. In addition, at least one housing pin and all core pins on each side are made of hardened, nickel-plated steel to provide additional protection against drilling attempts. Specially shaped housing pins on both sides of the cylinder profile provide effective protection against pry tools.

An additional security level is achieved by an undercut on both sides of the key profile, which significantly increases copying security. The resulting three-dimensional key profile prevents copying with conventional two-dimensional copying devices. This ensures an exceptionally high level of security against unauthorized key copies.

The UDM system can be seamlessly combined with CEStronics electronic locking and organization solutions to provide a comprehensive security solution.

System features:

• Security card: Replacement orders and upgrades require the presentation of the original security card supplied with the system. This ensures the highest level of security.

• Scanning protection: Our system uses a scanning protection according to DIN 18252, which effectively protects against locking tools by means of specially designed walking pins.

• Long-term protection: The system offers reliable long-term protection against unauthorized key copies.

• Sturdy nickel silver key: The key is made of sturdy nickel silver and complies with DIN standards.

• Handy design: The key is particularly handy and ergonomically designed.

• Key neck: The key has a key neck that is at least 14 mm long and is perfectly matched to standard security locks with cylinder cover.

• Specially shaped key tip: A patented key tip makes it easier to insert the key into the cylinder without any effort.

• Guiding groove: A continuous guiding groove along the cylinder core ensures a form-fitting transmission of the key torque and prevents the key from breaking off.

Additional and special equipment

• Modular design: Profile cylinders in the UDM system are available in modular form. This means that the cylinder length can be conveniently and cost-effectively adapted to the respective door thickness on site.

• Optional protection: It is possible to add drilling, pulling and impact protection as optional safety measures. Additional hard metal pins and plates in the housing and in the front of the cylinder core protect the cylinder against common break-in methods.

• Edition with impact protection: A special version with impact protection is available.

• Seawater resistance: The cylinders are seawater-resistant and can therefore also be used in demanding environments.

• Wearßresistant design: The cylinders are wearßresistant and can withstand the stresses of everyday use.

• Fäcoloring options: Various cylinder colors are available. Cylinder sleeves in different colors are also available on request.

• Möbel/special cylinders: The UDM lockßsystem can also be used for Möbel and special cylinders from the CES range.

• Electronic access solutions: UDM cylinders are compatible with all electronic locking systems from CEStronics, which facilitates integration into existing security solutions.
