The Türwächter is mounted underneath the door handle to prevent it from being operated and to secure the door handle or the shoot bolt.

The door can only be opened if the door handle is first turned to the side. It then engages in an inclined position and clears the way for the door handle to be operated. At the same time, a loud acoustic alarm sounds. This means that the door can be opened in an emergency, but the alarm signal indicates unauthorized use.

The responsible janitor, technician, etc. can only reset the door to its original position with a key and stop the alarm. The door switch can be used for both right-hand and left-hand doors. Pictograms on the door and on the door indicate the direction in which it must be swiveled. The swivel direction is set by the customer using a grooved pin supplied.
